At Ahsan Memorial from 11am to 1pm
  • Hyde Park: Story telling, riddles, kasauti, poetry recital, puppet show
  • Skills Center: Brain Teasers. Forming regular shapes using just four blocks. Creative arrangements of simpler shapes can form seemingly improbable regular shapes.
Participants were busy solving the puzzles for a long time after the demonstrations.
  • L2L Talk: "Does bad grade means your child is weak?" by Dr Irfan Hyder
What does it mean when your child gets bad grades. Does this mean that your child was weak, does this mean he did not study, or does this mean he was not interested,  or does this mean that the material presented to him was unable to excite his imagination and involve him intensely in the learning experience. Does it mean that the test was too tough, too complex, does it indicate that the test was not based on a right standard. What about the standard itself being faulty. What about the ability of the teacher to deliver the content. What about the school environment and the peer pressure. There can be so many reasons for the student not performing well on the test. Most of them have no nexus with the ability of the child.

The problems with grades are well known. Had they been so accurate and valid, employers would have been making all their decisions entirely on the basis of their test scores. However, they do the interviews, personality assessment and other evaluations to determine the suitability of the kids. Grades do not indicate the competence of a person because there are millions of people who did poorly in school and are doing excellently in the practical life.
  • Arts n Craft: Paper weaving and easel painting.
Exciting work with the weaving work and coloring work in which the kids were engrossed for a long time.
